What is the Mamilla App?
The Mamilla app is your breastfeeding companion. Other apps are often packed full of information to read and sometimes it is hard to know where to start. With Mamilla the information is still all there but you are given a place to start. Instead of having to navigate endless menus you can just start a session and be taken through an aspect of breastfeeding such as learning a new position or the basics of latching. The Mamilla app helps you get hands-on in your learning, taking you through short, easy-to-follow sessions. The Mamilla app is a standalone product but can also be paired with the Mamilla doll.
The Mamilla app is a safe space for educational breastfeeding content. See lots of videos of breastfeeding with different bodies, in different positions and from the mother's perspective - because we don't breastfeed in the second person. Also, listen to audio files to learn about different sucking patterns so you can know what to look out for when it comes to it.
Mamilla aims to equip mothers with the confidence to persist with breastfeeding and know themselves when something doesn't feel quite right. We are on a mission to transform breastfeeding education. Help us out by registering your interest!
What is the Mamilla Doll?

Breastfeeding is heavily encouraged in the UK but not entirely supported. There is great support available but this is often only used when the problem strikes - i.e. when you have a screaming baby that you desperately need to feed and for some reason, it is not working. What if we could prepare mothers better, before they give birth, so they can start trying to breastfeed with confidence?
We noticed that mothers come to breastfeed having had very little practical education on the topic. They may have been shown a few videos and had an antenatal class leader explain it to them but they never got to practice...
That's where the Mamilla doll comes in. A smart, weighted, newborn baby doll that mums can use to practice positioning and learn about the important contact points when trying to get a baby to latch...because breastfeeding is something you learn with your body.
